Ammonia, Chemicals, And Other Hydro-Fracking Poisons In Our Food And Water Supplies
Over the last two years, I went from non-veg to veg, to vegan, and then back to non-veg. I'm now transitioning back to non-veg. It has not been an easy time on my digestive system. I had always suffered from acid reflux, but for the last two or so years, I have been experiencing irritable bowel syndrome. And I cannot help but think that, as I have eliminated foods from my diet, only to add them back in cycles, perhaps our food supply is the cause. After all, meat processors add ammonia to processed meats, creating pink slime. We find dangerous chemicals to our water supply, and now we are exposing our water supply in the United States to hydro-fracking petro chemicals. I wonder how much of the incidence of digestive disorders are related to the chemicals found in our water and food supplies ? More thoughts on this, and on the ethics of eating non-veg, as I continue to experiment with my diet.
